See The Space Station

A few weeks ago, I saw the ISS go over Toronto.  It was pretty impressive.  Much brighter than any star, it moved fast.  Less than 5 minutes from horizon to horizon.  You can look up sighting opportunities here.  Look for the "Sighting Opportunities" box on the upper left.  Pick your country and go.

Update!

Space.com just published an article on spotting the Space Station.  Apparrently, the next few weeks will be really good for sightings due to seasonal factors.
