Government Efficiency

According to unnamed Pakistani intellengence officials, a US missile strike killed Abu Khabab al-Masri last week.  This seems to have been confirmed by someone claiming to speak for al-Qaeda.  Described in the past as a "al-Qaeda's Mad Scientist" by the US, al-Masri was thought to be al-Qaeda's in-house biological and chemical weapons "expert".  I question the term "expert" in this case because biological and chemical weapons have almost no value as military weapons, and even less as terror weapons.  Any expert would quickly figure out that al-Qaeda had no use for these except to scare Western countries into spending billions defending against this empty threat.  Hmmmm...

Anyway, the interesting thing about al-Masri is that the US killed him in 2006.  The photo above is from a 2006 MSNBC story.  Now they've done it again.  At least some unnamed Pakistani intellegence types say they have.  The news has prompted a great deal of speculation on the Internets.  Here is a sampling from Reddit:
  • Keep killing them until they die from it.
  • I know what you're thinking. "Did he kill me three times or only two?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself....
  • Nuke him from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  • I feel safer now, again.
  • thats why you have to double kill them the first time.
I just hope this is not evidence of an al-Qaeda zombie army.
